Soundproof(er) Sound Booth 6 x 3 (SPB 63) Panel Installation

In this video we will show you how to apply the panels for the Soundproof(er) Sound Booth 6 x 3 (SPB 63).

The complete set of panels consists of:
Absorption Panels
3 absorption panels

Sound Blocking Panels
1 door panel
5 wall panels
1 rectangular roof panel
6 top seal strips
6 vertical seal strips
6 corner seal strips

Accessories
2 lights and adapters

After assembling the frame, start hanging the absorption panels. Secure the panels to the top of the aluminum frame. Leave a space large enough to enter/exit through the door.

After you have finished hanging the absorption panels, hang the door panel. All sound blocking panels are equipped with hanging brackets for easy installation.

The door panel is equipped with side velcro tie-ups that need to be secured to the frame.

Next, hang the wall panels. Hang them so that the sound blocking panels are touching, but not overlapping.

After the wall sound blocking panels are in place, put the roof top panel on the frame. The roof panel also has velcro tie-ups to attach to the frame.

Next, join the sound blocking wall panels with the vertical seal strip. Do the same with the top seal strips.

Finally, seal the top corners with the corner seal strips. Corner seal strips are designed in a way that they can fold over themselves, forming a corner.

Soundproof(er) Sound Booth 6 x 3 (SPB 63) Frame Installation

In this video we will show you how to assemble the frame for the Soundproof(er) Sound Booth 6 x 3 (SPB 63).

The complete frame consists of:
27 straight poles
8 three way connectors
2 “T” connectors
2 four way connectors
4 “Y” connectors
6 straight pole connectors

To assemble the frame, start by putting together the bottom and top frames.

The three way connector has one hole in the bottom legs, and two holes in the top leg of the connector. The top leg of the connector should be facing up.

Each side of the frame will be connected by a “T” connector in the middle.

Start connecting the straight poles in the bottom of the frame.

Attach the straight connector on all of the straight poles, and then connect straight poles on top of all of the straight connectors.

The top of the frame will be assembled the same way, except each side will be joined by a four way connector instead of a “T” connector.

If you are assembling the frame by yourself, the easiest way to attach the top rectangle is to put the first half of the top frame on first. Then, attach the remaining top half of the frame.

Place the “Y” connectors on each end of the remaining two straight poles. Slide them both into place.

Is there still an issue with smell?

If you found us through an online forum, you might have noticed complaints about an awful smell coming off the blankets. They may have looked like this:

19th December, 2012: [The blankets] smell like some kind of petroleum distillate.

We did have a problem at the time. It was difficult to figure out where the smell was coming from in the beginning, but after several visits to our manufacturers and working our way through the supply chain, we discovered that the issue was in the filler material. Filler which included a mix of synthetic fibers resulted in blankets with the terrible smell.

Since then, we have changed the manufacturer and made sure we were only using 100% pure recycled cotton in our blankets. There are no toxic chemicals involved in the making of our blankets. As of 2014, you can see that there are no more forum complaints about the smell:

4th March, 2014: I bought the Producer’s Choice sound blankets from moverssupplies.com and haven’t had any issues with the smell.

That comment was from a regular contributor to the forum, achieving the title “gear addict”.

Producer’s Choice blankets were specifically designed to absorb sound, and no longer have the drawback of that chemical smell. They work much better than moving blankets, and you can see the frequency results from acoustic lab tests on our website. We compared the test results of Producer’s Choice blankets and Auralex acoustic foam, and found that our acoustic blankets are more efficient than 3 inch foam, and the frequency response is more linear, resulting in a better sound.

Acoustic foam seems to absorb sound similarly at the low frequency range, but rips more out of the mid frequency range, than the Producer’s Choice acoustic blankets. This is why the NRC of the 4 inch acoustic foam is higher.

To get the most out of your blankets, be sure to hang them properly.

Traveling Voice Over Using VocalBoothToGo.Com

Dean Wendt on the Quality of VocalBoothToGo Products and Customer Service

If there’s one thing Dean Wendt knows—really knows—it’s sound. You may know Dean Wendt as the voice of Barney, the iconic purple dinosaur from Barney & Friends. Yes, the voice that most of us parents remember oh so very well. If your kids were anything like mine we must have watched the shows on a constant loop for most of their pre-k and kindergarten days. That is why I for one was excited in his use of VocalBoothToGo.Com’s products. A voice I had become all too familiar with over the years was using OUR products. How cool is that!

Dean had tried lots of acoustic solutions and portable vocal booths throughout his career. But when he stumbled upon VocalBoothToGo.com he knew he had a winner. He quickly became a huge fan of the Carry-On Vocal Booth to GO series. The carry on was able to rid him of annoying reverberations that were wreaking havoc on his recordings, a problem which he had not been able to find a solution for until now.

“I’ve pretty much bought all the stuff Adil has,” Dean says of VocalBoothToGo’s owner, Adil Aliev (talk about literally putting your money where your mouth is!). “It’s really great stuff.”

Dean had been looking for products he could use to record that would ensure high quality audio that’s when he came upon VocalBoothToGo. Excited to see the line of products we had to offer; but skeptical to their efficiency, Dean decided to start off by renting a Portable Acoustic vocal booth (AVB-33) and used it to do commercial voiceover work for a week while he was on the road. And the rest is history! Blown away by the sound quality and its ease of use and portability Dean became a proud VocalBoothtoGo.Com supporter.

Topping off his order experience Dean praised the customer support he received when placing his order. From all his preorder questions to his feedback after his rental VocalBoothtoGo.Com Owner; Adil, answered all his questions and even got some great ideas on how to improve some of the products that were later implemented in the latest edition “Carry on Vocal Booth 2.o”  which Dean is currently using today.

We are proud to offer such unique and amazing products. Helping the busy, traveling, always on the go voice actor has become our specialty. We offer the BEST in Affordable, PORTABLE acoustic solutions.  And you can always count on us to provide incredible customer service and support provided by REAL people (No computerized voices over here) 7 days a week by contacting Support@VocalBoothToGo.Com
