This video demonstrates the soundproofing capacity of the AVB33 – Acoustic Vocal Booth. We tested it at the 2016 Summer NAMM show. Acoustic vocal booth primary purpose is to cut down on echo and reverberation for clear audio recording, but they also reduce the noise level.
In this video it is demonstrated that the AVB33 blocks approximately 10 dB of noise.

Audio Book Publisher Gives Recording Using the Carry-On Vocal Booth a BIG Thumbs-Up
Voice over artist and accomplished book narrator, Mary Sarah Agliotta, was about to make a leap of faith. She wanted to move closer to her children, but that meant leaving behind a professional recording studio and facing the challenge of delivering a good sound at an unknown location.

The exact same test narration was recorded at the same time using two microphones. One was positioned outside the vocal booth and the other (visible in the video) was placed inside the booth. There was no editing or any sort of audio manipulation was done to any soundtracks. The first audio with live video action is from outside microphone and the second (still images) .

One thing to keep in mind when using the Carry-On Vocal Booth at home or in a car or truck (or even when you’re in a sound booth) is your posture. Slumping forward, as many of us do everyday when using our computers, tablets, e-readers or phones, puts more pressure on the diaphragm (the main muscle used for breathing). This makes it more difficult to take good inhalations, and the effects on the voice from poor breathing are immediate. Over time this position can also cause back pain. ASSEMBLY AND USE
